For a taste of what could turn up in 2014 here is sizzling species summary of some of the best birds so far this Autumn… Baltimore Oriole, Lesser-Yellow Legs, Pallas’s Grasshopper Warbler, Brown Shrike, Red-Flanked Bluetail, Whites Thrush, Lanceolated Warbler, Upland Sandpiper, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Pechora Pipit, Thick-Billed Warbler, Eastern-Olivaceous Warbler, Red-Eyed Verio along with a supporting cast of reputable rarities in the forms of (multiples of the following) Hornemann’s Redpoll, Blyth’s Reed Warbler, Arctic Warbler, Citrine Wagtail, Buff-Breasted Sandpiper, American Golden Plover, Thrush Nightingale to name but a few along with Western Bonelli’s and Eastern Subalpine Warblers and Two Barred Crossbill, not a bad run it has to be said!
